James Garfield

The 20th president of the United States, was also one of the most famously left-handed presidents. He was shot by Charles Guiteau on July 2nd, 1881.

Herbert Hoover

He was the 31st president of the United States, serving from 1929 to 1933. Hoover is left-handed and once demonstrated his left-handedness by carving a pumpkin.

Harry Truman

The 33rd president of the United States, Truman was left-handed. He would write with his right hand but use a knife or fork in his left hand.

Gerald Ford

The 38th president of the United States, served from 1974 to 1977. Gerald Ford was left-handed and played on his university's basketball team.

Ronald Reagan

The 40th president of the United States, he served from 1981 to 1989. Reagan was left-handed and would occasionally write with his left hand while more public writing was done with his right hand.

George H. W. Bush

The 41st president of the United States, Bush is left-handed and writes with his left hand. He also plays golf right handed but writes left handed. His son George W. Bush was also a left-hander who famously signed autographs for children with his famous squiggle that only other southpaws would recognize.

The 42nd president of the United States and husband of Hillary Clinton, Bill is left-handed. He was well known for writing his signature with his left hand. Bill Clinton was the third president in a row to be left-handed!
